Yashua (Jesus Christ) - Redeemer of Israel (Savior of Gentiles)

I would like to start this post by making a clear distinction to all readers between the terms “redemption” and “salvation”.  Redemption is the priced payed for the release of a commodity that was being held subject to payment.

Salvation on the other hand is the recycling of broken and useless items into a new creation and purpose.

Although Israel was put in captivity, they shall not utterly be cast off.  A remnant must be saved.  Their captures will be given the opportunity to obtain salvation also if they would hear their apostle Paul.  Speaking of Israel Paul Says in Romans 11 vs 11 “ I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbidbut rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy." Paul is sent by our God as a vessel to carry the WORD (gospel) to the nations.  Romans 11 vs 13 “ For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:"

The Israelites - “Gods Chosen People” were condemned to captivity by our Lord. Jer. 22 v. 5 “But if ye will not hear these words, I swear by myself, saith the LORD,that this house shall become a desolation. “  This desolation begins under King Jeconias Jer. 22 vs 24-25 “As I live, saith the LORD, though Coniah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah were the signet upon my right hand, yet would I pluck thee thence; And I will give thee into the hand of them that seek thy life, and into the hand of them whose face thou fearest, even into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of the Chaldeans.

The kingdom of Judah in Jerusalem would cease to exist until it is established again by our Lord.  Jeremiah 22 vs 30 “Thus saith the LORD, Write ye this man childless, a man that shall not prosper in his days: for no man of his seed shall prospersitting upon the throne of David, and ruling any more in Judah.

This Babylonian captivity would be the first of 4 that the children of God would have to endure.  The second or Media-Persian would be followed by the Greek, who rewrote the “Torah” the five books of Moses, in their language.  And thus began the spread of the Pentateuch throughout the Greek empire.  The Jewish record of creation and their history with God the Almighty was now available to all who could read.  The fourth captivity or bondage was under the Roman Empire.  It is during this captivity that Our Lord would appear as the long awaited Messiah of the Jews-Israel.  The only begotten Son of God, his blood the redemptive price of their captivity that was brought about through sin.

As is the custom to God’s forgiven people, blood had to be shed by a pure lamb approved by God.  In the case of Adam and Eve the Lord slew an animal and clothed them with its skin.  After the flood Noah offered up similar sacrifices to the Lord.  Gen 8 vs. 20 “And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar."

Abraham attempted to offer up his own son to God but was rejected.  His faith would preclude the work of our Lord and Savior as the Lamb of God.  The Bible records that the Lord tempted Abraham.  Gen 22 vs 12 “And he saidLay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me.”

Through Abraham’s seed would come Yashua born of a virgin.  This sacrifice by blood was made institutional in Israel by Moses.  Being direct instructions from the Almighty God of Israel “Yahweh” Ex. 19 vs 5-6 “Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine: And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel."

The law and commandment given to Moses in Exodus 20 is referred to by Bible scholars and theologian (Gentiles), as the 5th or Mosaic covenant.  But our Lord referred to this as the “Old Covenant”.  Within this covenant the children of Israel relied on the blood of goats and oxen to temporarily cleans them of sin from year to year.  Our Lord offered himself as the “New Covenant” to his people Israel Heb. 8 vs 10 “ For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: “

This new covenant is made “explicitly” with his people Israel.  The innocent blood of the Holy Lamb of God must be shed for the redemption of Israel his people, (once and for all), from the burden of the oppressive Roman regime of the time to be lifted even forevermore.  The both covenants were enacted by blood but the New is an everlasting one.  Heb. 8 vs 7-8 “ For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.  For finding fault with them, he saithBehold, the days comesaith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: “

In order to secure His inheritance Israel, from the wiles of the Devil and his emissaries (the future rulers of Rome and Europe), who would take the kingdom by force, claiming to be both Jews and Christians thereby dominating Religion in the known world.  Only the Ishmaelite's, Muslims, would be exempt from their onslaught of capturing and colonizing lands unknown to the World's population of the time.

Africa and India would fall prey to Japheth’s unending greed, in seeking to enlarge his borders.  Ethnic cleansing in the name of Christianity, and the domination of all other races was the order of the day.  But the same Bible that was used to enslave the scattered children of Israel through colonization is the very Bible that would be used to free them.  Education is very important.  One must pay attention to reading.  History records much of mans exploits but in the Bible one will find truth for himself.  It is God’s reminder to mankind that their is only One God.

Next post will reveal redemption as contrasted to salvation.
