Redemption is to Israel - Salvation is to the Gentiles
Wheras redemption is the gift of salvation to a peculiar people, which was promised to them by their God if they would believe in the blood of his son Yashua as the way, the truth, and the life. Redemption is promised to God's people Israel. This redemption is recorded in Isaiah chief of the writing prophets; he is known as the prophet of redemption. Isa 44.4 "As for our redeemer, the LORD of hosts is his name, the Holy One of Israel." Isa 59.20 "And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the LORD. " Israel is the house of God's Glory. This theme of redemption of Israel continued throughout the Old Testament until the coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ Yashua. Even in the revelation of Jesus Christ the theme continues Rev. 7.4 "And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel. " Further along in this very chapter we see a glimpse of the salvation of the Gentiles. Rev. 7.9 "After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;"Psalms 111.9 distinguishes between God's chosen people saved by promise and the Gentiles saved by grace. "He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend is his name."The salvation of the Gentiles is provided by GRACE (The Love of God for humanity). When Paul was stopped in his tracks by Our Lord while on his way to Damascus to further persecute the children of Israel who were blessed by Our Lord to spread the gospel to all. Peter is the head of the true church of God in Christ. Math. 16 vs. 17-18 "And Jesus answered and said unto him,Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it."Paul is the head of the church of Christ to the Gentiles (Rome, Europe, the Americas, and China). The Bible records that Paul consented to the death of Stephen Act 8.1 "And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles. "The CHURCH is the body of believers in Israel which was headed by Peter for the regathering of the lost sheep of Israel. Philip of the CHURCH of Peter, "one of the seven", baptized the Ethiopian Eunuch. Act 8.37-38 "And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him." Ethiopia belongs to the church of Israel founded by Peter. The scripture is fulfilled Amo. 9. 7 "Are ye not as children of the Ethiopians unto me, O children of Israel? saith the LORD. Have not I brought up Israel out of the land ofEgypt? and the Philistines from Caphtor, and the Syrians from Kir?"Directly after this baptism of the Ethiopian into Peter's church of Christ (Israel), we see through the scriptures that Paul YET breathed out cruelties. Act 9.1-2 "
